This exhibition that embraces and highlights the historically intersected and mutually informing paths of Jews and Muslims. As two Abrahamic faiths, reverence for our scriptures, the Qur’an and the Torah, laid the foundation for our rapport. Together we have shared many moments throughout time: we have traded along the Silk Road, built architectural achievements, and exchanged intellectual and artistic ideas. Cross-cultural exchange between the two communities has never ceased; this exhibition features diverse artwork across five themes — language, ritual & tradition, diasporic experience, religion & spirituality, and personal identity — that demonstrate an enduring interrelationship from ancient times to the modern day. While fostering interfaith connections among artists and their work, Open Archways: Avenues of Exchange invites you, the visitor, to become an active participant in the dialogue.

We hope that this exhibition inspires mindful reflection, meaningful exchange, and a commitment to continue strengthening relationships between our communities.
